Day ??? - I'm starting to lose track of the days.

Today started in typical Syrah style....my first interview called at 7:45am to reschedule for later in the week. But yeah, at least he called! My second interview (this time for a chef) was another no-show!!! It's really starting to get old!

I spend the rest of the morning on the phone. More potential servers, the health department, the bank, the sign guy and a vendor. It feels like I spend more time talking on the phone and getting very little progress. But I'm sure it will start to fall into place sooner or later.

After doing some household chores (grocery shopping and bill paying), it was back to the restaurant for some cleaning.

Yeah...I'm still trying to get through the grease in the fryers. What a serious mess!!! Its starting to become a routine....degresser, scrape, scrup, degress, scrape, scrup, repeat, repeat, repeat.

I was hesitant to post pictures of how the dirty the fryers actually were. But then I thought it would be good to see what can (and should) be done in a kitchen.

That was the finale to the day. As I posting this today, Lisa and I are enjoying a bottle of Bogle Phantom on the deck. And the neighbors are sending up cool paper lanterns.
